A Bayou Blue woman is accused of driving while nearly four times about the legal limit for alcohol.

At around 12:15 p.m. on Feb. 19, Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a female subject possibly driving impaired in the Bayou Blue area.

Upon arrival, deputies found the suspect’s vehicle stopped on La. Highway 316. Authorities made contact with the driver, identifying her as Trisha Williams, 48, of Bayou Blue.

Deputies detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath. The suspect submitted to a field sobriety test on which she performed poorly. She then submitted to a breath test, which showed her to have a blood alcohol content of .312g%.

Due to results of the breath test, she was taken to local hospital for evaluation.

She was booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux, charged with third-offense DWI. Bond is set at $15,000.
