Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre said on Mondya that authorities are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) involved in a weekend shooting in Lockport.
At around 2 p.m. on Jan. 14, authorities said they were called in regards to a shooting on East Lafourche Street in Lockport. After investigating, it was determined that a male in his 20s had been shot in the left hip. He was then taken to University Medical Center in New Orleans for what is described as non-life-threatening injuries.
No information regarding suspects is available, so Webre is seeking the public’s help. Anyone with information is asked to call Bayou Region Crime Stoppers at 1-800-743-7433. Tipsters can remain anonymous if they choose to do so, and any information that leads to an arrest may net a $1,000 cash reward.
