Houma man arrested on seven drug, weapons related charges

On October 19th, 2023 in the early morning hours a narcotics search warrant was executed at the address of 189 Stoval Street without incident.

 

Suspect Eric W. Thompson, 33 years old, was investigated for distribution of marijuana. After an extensive investigation and several covert purchases, a search warrant was executed by the Houma Police Dept. SWAT team where over five pounds of Marijuana, 25 grams of Mushrooms, several THC vapes, several ounces of edibles, Hydrocodone pills, scales, rolling devices, cash and a firearm. This investigation was all part of a tip that came into the Houma Police Department Narcotics Division.

 

As a result of the investigation, Eric Thompson was arrested for Possession with the intent to distribute CDS I, Distribution of a Legend Drug, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Hydrocodone, Possession of a Firearm by a convicted felon, Possession of a CDS in the presence of a person under the age of 17 and Illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.


The Houma Police Department Narcotics Division would like to thank the Terrebonne Sheriff’s Office and the Louisiana State Police for their assistance with closing these cases.
