An inmate in the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex is facing additional charges after he allegedly touched another inmate inappropriately.
On Jan. 19, authorities said they received a complaint from a 30-year-old male inmate at the jail, who said that he was being touched by another inmate.
An investigation was started, and it was determined that the suspect, Elvin Hayward Kenny, 24, of 205 Columbus St., allegedly touched the victim several times before it was actually reported.
On the day the incident took place, Kenny allegedly used his finger to penetrate the anus of the victim from on top of his clothing.
Kenny is charged with sexual battery for the incident.
He was in the jail because of a parole violation and a charge for simple burglary.
