A 51-year-old Larose man is in the custody of the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office after he allegedly broke into a residence and had an altercation with his ex-girlfriend.

Shortly after 9 a.m. on July 1, deputies were called to a Larose residence after fielding a 911 call about a man who had violated a protective order.

When deputies arrived, they made contact with the woman who called 911. She told them that she was Jarrod Lorraine, 51, of Larose’s ex-girlfriend and that Lorraine had entered the residence without permission and got into an argument and a struggle ensued.

The woman allegedly made several attempts to get Lorraine to leave, but he refused.

The woman was finally able to grab a phone and call 911 and then Lorraine ran out of the residence and fled the scene.

Deputies verified the protective order was in place following Lorraine’s arrest for domestic abuse battery and false imprisonment in May 2019. Authorities also searched the area, located Lorraine and took him into custody.

Lorraine is charged with home invasion and violation of a protective order. His bail is set at $100,000.

Lorraine has a history of domestic violence and his criminal history included more than 20 arrests in Lafourche Parish alone.

In addition to this arrest, he has also been arrested for aggravated battery, unauthorized entry, property damage, criminal trespassing, three DWIs, resisting arrest and various drug charges.
