A Cut Off man is in out on bond after he allegedly molested a young relative.
In late June, Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office juvenile detectives opened an investigation into Wesley Todd, of Cut Off, after receiving allegations that he reportedly molested a child several years ago. The child is also his relative.
After the investigation, authorities obtained a warrant for the suspect’s arrest.
On July 17, detectives and patrol deputies traveled to Todd’s residence in an effort to take him into custody.
As they approached, the suspect ran from the residence into a nearby wooded area.
Authorities pursued him, eventually locating him hiding behind a tree where he was taken into custody.
Todd is charged with aggravated incest and resisting an officer. The suspect is free after posting a $100,000 bond.
He has been ordered to stay away from the victim.
