A 50-year-old Raceland man is accused of stealing tools and equipment from a local business.

On Nov. 29, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Saturation Services on 300 Bridge Road in reference to a business burglary that was in progress.

Upon arrival, deputies were informed that the suspect in the case had driven away from the scene.

Deputies spoke with an employee who said that there was a pick-up truck parked in front of the business that did not belong there, so he went out to see why it was there.

At that time, the employee said he observed a white male run from the warehouse to the pick-up, fleeing the scene.

The employee obtained the license plate number of the truck and gave it to authorities upon their arrival.

There were multiple power tools stacked outside of the warehouse door that were placed there by the suspect, who was later identified as Joshua Gaudet, 50, of 212 St. Peters St., Raceland.

A warrant was issued for his arrest on charges of simple burglary.

On Dec. 4, TPSO was conducting an investigation when they located Gaudet in the 4000 block of West Park Avenue in Gray.

He was arrested on the simple burglary charge and taken to the Terrebonne Parish Jail. He remains on a $10,000 bond.
