The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office has identified a vehicle suspected to be involved in a Bayou Blue burglary earlier this month.

Through surveillance video, authorities captured the pictured vehicle, which LPSO believes was on the scene during the break-in of a home and shed. Authorities now believe the break-in happened on July 3, as the surveillance image is captured at 3:28 a.m. on that day.

LPSO said it believes the vehicle in the case is either a white Chevy Suburban or a GMC Yukon. It was captured driving away from the scene from a camera at a nearby residence.

LPSO believes the trailer attached was taken from the scene.

As previously reported, detectives responded to the 100 block of Bayou Blue Road on July 6 in reference to the burglary of a mobile home and shed.

Authorities on the scene said they learned that motion-sensor lights were damaged and wires to security cameras were cut on the property before thousands of dollars of equipment was stolen, including an enclosed trailer, an all-terrain vehicle, an outboard motor, a pressure washer, a shotgun and several other pieces of equipment.

Detectives are still asking for the public’s help to solve the case.

Anyone with information is asked to call Bayou Region Crime Stoppers at 1-800-743-7433.
