Summer vacation is almost over, which means school sports are almost here.
To prepare, Terrebonne General Medical Center is gathering coaches together for a fun night of information sharing.
TGMC is hosting Tri-Parish Media Day on July 20 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. – an event which will feature several area football and volleyball coaches before the start of the 2017-18 academic and athletic year.
According to a news release issued by TGMC, the event will allow media members to gather interviews, photos and other important information from coaches, which they can then distribute to the public before the seasons begin.
The Times will attend the event and we plan to use what we gather for our Prep Football Preview Guide, which comes out later this summer.
According to TGMC, the response from coaches for the event has been terrific. The hospital said it expects every 12 schools (South Lafourche, Central Lafourche, Thibodaux, E.D. White, South Terrebonne, Terrebonne, Vandebilt, Ellender, Houma Christian, CCA, H.L. Bourgeois and Assumption) to either have their head coaches in attendance or representation at the event.
The event will take place in TGMC’s Sports Conference Room and all coaches will have information about their teams available at the event.
