Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Jerry Larpenter said that two are in custody for mini storage burglaries that occurred in Gray.

During the investigation, TPSO deputies were able to verify that there were a total of six mini storages that were burglarized at the location – 4482 West Main Street in Gray. All of the burglaries had occurred recently.

All of the renters were not available to conduct an inventory of their storage units, but those who did confirmed that stolen items included power tools, stereo equipment, speakers and other items.

TPSO then received information from the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office that two suspects were in custody – both in possession of items that were taken in the mini-storage unit burglaries.

TPSO identified the suspects as Steven Glen Acy, 26, of 102 Olympe Drive, Houma and Trey Weems, 25, of 457 Mozart Drive, Houma. Authorities investigated and learned that the suspects were responsible for the break-ins and some of the power tools and speaker equipment was able to be recovered and returned to its owners.

The suspects are held in the Lafourche Parish Detention Center on unrelated charges.

TPSO has obtained arrest warrants for each on six counts of simple burglary.

They will soon be transported to the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex to face these charged once released from Lafourche.

TPSO said the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
