Sheriff Tim Soignet is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a group of individuals who are being sought for an attempted ATM theft, which occurred in the 1000 block of West Tunnel Blvd in Houma.

On Tuesday, December 5th, shortly after 3:00 am, the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division responded to Capital One Bank after learning that an in-progress Attempted Burglary of the ATM was taking place.  When Deputies arrived, they discovered a vehicle used in the commission of the crime to be unoccupied, which was later determined to be stolen from a local Terrebonne based business.  Patrol Deputies attempted to search the area for the suspects who fled the area on foot, without success.

Detectives of the Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene and continue to actively investigate the incident.

Sheriff Soignet is encouraging anyone with information in this investigation, to please contact the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office at (985)876-2500 or the Bayou Region Crime stoppers at 800-743-7433, or CRIMESTOPPERSBR.ORG, where you may be eligible for a cash reward.
