A 49-year-old Houma man is arrested and charged with breaking into mini storages throughout Houma.

Authorities said they had been investigating the case for several days after calls reporting that units had been broken into and items had been taken without permission.

Last week, authorities said they identified a suspect as Joseph Bellow, 49, of 1400 Laban Avenue, Houma. Deputies located his vehicle in the parking lot of a local home improvement center, making contact with him for questioning.

Authorities said they suspected the vehicle had stolen property within it, so they obtained a search warrant, then executed it.

During a search, multiple items were recovered that were reported missing during the mini-storage burglaries.

Authorities questioned Bellow and concluded that he was connected to four mini storage burglaries in Houma from Jan. 15-18.

Bellow is charged with four counts of simple burglary.

He remains in the Terrebonne Parish Jail on a $40,000 bond.
