The annual fundraiser for the Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department returns with pay-one-price rides, a litany of food, a 5K run, an auction, a $10,000 raffle drawing and the annual parade of fire engines. Live entertainment includes Eddie Money, Wayne Toups, Daryle Singeltary, Foret Tradition, Travis Matte and Zydeco Kingpins, Bandit and more.

The Lafourche Roping Club hosts a two-man ranch-sorting event, held every other Wednesday, weather permitting. The entry fee is $40 per rider for unlimited rides, and the top three novice riders receive prizes. A cutting-horse practice runs from 5-7 p.m., at $20 per ride.
