The best way to sum up the Houma-based band Baby Bee is raw rock ‘n’ roll.

For those who don’t already know of this dynamic duo, the band is comprised of brothers Joe and David Stark, and they are on their way to the limelight. One of their latest releases is the LP titled, “Drop It Like A Bomb,” and from start to finish, it is like driving a muscle car with no brakes. If I ever had to run from the police, this could be the soundtrack.

The vocals are slightly distorted and their driving drum/guitar arrangements are reminiscent of bands like the Strokes, The Black Keys, and the Doors. The tambourine on almost every track adds to the throw-back 1960’s rock ‘n’ roll vibe. This music is so cool; you will need sunglasses just to listen to it.

Formally Sons of William, Baby Bee recorded the album with Grammy-nominated producer Dave Cobb in Nashville, Tenn.
