Oct. 13; Big Band Bash (Houma)

At the Houma Municipal Auditorium, 800 Verret St., from 8 p.m. until midnight. The Houma-Terrebonne Community Stage Band provides its classic big band music to highlight the evening. The classic selections from smooth waltzes and ballads, lively cha-chas and jazz, and driving rock and Latin. Semi-formal event is open to all ages. Tickets are $10 per person in advance, and $12.50 at the door. Music lovers may bring their own party foods and drinks. Cups, ice and soft drinks will be available for purchase.
