Benson “Buckle” Morrison, 57, Native of Kingston, Jamaica and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, September 28, 2007.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Morrison; two sons, Freddrick Morrison and Tremain Morrison; eight daughters, Sophia Morrison, Michelle Morrison, Nadine Morrison, Andrea McKenzie, Linda Clement, Christine Kaya, Cynthia Clement, and Roslin Clement; one brother, Abraham Powell; one sister, Gwendolyn Spencer; 18 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Isilda Lewis and Samuel Morrison; one daughter, Angela Clement; and two sisters, Janette Berndberry and Deloris Morrison.
Benson was a devout catholic.
Visitation is Saturday, October 6, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Beautiful Zion Baptist Church. He will be buried in Halfway Cemetery.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
