Sounds of the Season abound

Tis the season for great holiday music in the Tri-parishes. Here are a few of the many concerts planned for December:

• Marine Corps Band Toys for Tots Christmas Concert (Morgan City) at the Municipal Auditorium, beginning at 7 p.m. For more info: (985) 380-4639.

• Dec. 6: Christmas Concert in the Mall combined with “Pops” Concert (Houma) at the JC Penney Court at Southland Mall Shopping Center, 5953 W. Park Ave., beginning at 6:30 p.m. The Houma-Terrebonne Community Bank performs a variety of Christmas tunes. The event is free and open to the public. • Dec. 7: Les Amis de la Chanson Winter Concerts (Houma) at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, 243 Barrow St., at 7 p.m. For more info: (985) 872-5057.

• Dec. 7: Night in Bethlehem (Morgan City) at the Pharr Chapel United Methodist Church on Federal Avenue, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. For more info: (985) 384-7984.

• Dec. 7: SoLA Christmas Concert (Houma) at the Houma Municipal Auditorium, 880 Verret St., at 3 p.m. South LA Community Orchestra will perform 14th century Christmas carols, “Feliz Navidad,” “I Saw Three Ships” and other favorites.
