Master P isn’t coming to the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center anytime soon.

Nevertheless, the venue will host another another rapper who brings a more inspirational message to the stage.

Catholic hip hop artist Bob Lesnefsky, a.k.a. “Righteous B,” will host the area’s second annual “Steubenville on the Bayou” Catholic Youth Conference on June 29 through July 1.

The theme of this year’s event, “All Access,” will focus on the access that is gained through Jesus Christ. The message will be reinforced through a melange of speakers and musicians.

“Because of Christ’s life, death and resurrection, we have unlimited, unrestricted access to the Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit,” said Cynthia Percle, logistics coordinator of the Houma/Thibodaux Conference Office.

More than 2,700 teens and 300 volunteers are already signed up for the conference. Registration for the event is still open.

“You do not have to be Catholic to attend,” Percle said.

Guest speakers in addition to Lesnefsky include Gretchen George, Charlie Cantrell and Kristen Harkal.

The vocal stylings of singer Kelly Pease will highlight the musical lineup.

“This is a growing experience for some and a life-changing experience for others,” Percle said.
