Terrebonne General Medical Center is hosting a one-time, two-hour course on June 7, which will give parents all of the tips and information they need in relation to breastfeeding.

The hospital announced this week it will host a breastfeeding course – an event which is designed for expectant mothers who are going to choose to breastfeed their children.

During the course, workers with TGMC plan to cover breast changes during pregnancy, as well as tips and information mothers can use while preparing to breastfeed – including proper positioning, latch techniques and much more.

The course will also troubleshoot common problems and solutions for mothers who breastfeed, including offering solutions for those returning to work while also seeking to maintaining milk supply.

The class begins at 6 p.m., and it costs $30 to attend.

To register, call (985) 855-7380.

It will be held in TGMC’s Women’s Health Center’s Multi-Purpose Room.
