Terrebonne Parish Library System will host “Life After High School: College and Career Training Fair” on Sunday, November 10 from 2 – 5 p.m. at the Main Library, and “College Night” on Wednesday, November 13 at 6 p.m. at the East Houma Branch Library.


The goal of the College and Career Training Fair is to provide free resources to those interested in continuing education options and/or workforce opportunities. Various representatives from college, technical and trade schools will be in attendance as well as military recruiters. Vendors include, but are not limited to, Blue Cliff College of Houma, Fletcher Technical Community College, Southeastern University and the Omega Institute of Cosmetology.

Registration is currently open for other vendors who would like to participate. Any local colleges or businesses who are interested can call the Main Library, 985-876-5861 opt. 2, for more information.

College Night is made possible through the Native Youth Community Projects grant through the Terrebonne Parish School District. Additional sponsors include Nicholls State University, Fletcher Technical Community College, Unitech Training Academy and the American Indian College Fund.


Speaker Jamie Billiot, a representative with TPSD, will provide information on various topics including, but not limited to, FAFSA and financial aid, college admission requirements and dual enrollment.
