The Haven is still accepting donations for their “Give Thanks For Your Safe Home” Drive, to help provide basic necessities for families living in their care.

“One in four women will experience domestic violence in their lifetime. Women are abused emotionally, financially, and physically in many of these situations. Abusers create an environment of fear and intimidation using verbal threats and physical violence, as well as controlling the financial resources. This makes it very difficult for anyone being abused to flee,” reads a statement from The Haven. “The Haven helps women break free from their horrid conditions and offers an environment that helps them stay safe. Having somewhere safe to hide from their abuser is VERY vital to women and children who are being abused. Many times, women leave quickly with their children while their partner is away. They take nothing more than the clothes on their backs in their desperate attempt to get away before being seen. While at The Haven they are provided food, shelter, clothing, and victim assistance. The annual Give Thanks for Your Safe Home Supply Drive collects supplies used by The Haven daily to make survivors feel welcomed, safe, and cared for.”

Through December 31, 2023, businesses, schools, groups, organizations, or individuals can visit The Haven to get a large purple box to place in a central location in an office, school, etc. to collect donations from The Haven’s wishlist. The full supply box can either be delivered to The Haven, or a pick up can be arranged.

If you are an individual and wish to contribute directly to this drive, any items can be purchased off the list below (or the Amazon link provided) and donated to The Haven. Help a family receive necessities to make the holiday season joyous!
