Krewe of Mardi Gras will roll as planned

As of 7 a.m. Friday, local krewes are still set to roll as scheduled.
The Krewe of Aphrodite will hit the streets of Houma tonight, starting at 6:30 p.m. down the west side route. Weather reports look good for the women’s parade, with the heavy rain expected to pass through our area after midnight, if at all.
The Krewe of Mardi Gras will take another look at weather reports late this afternoon to make their plans. Houma’s only east side parade rolls on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
The Krewe of Terreanians on Sunday is the other krewe we are watching for potential rain delays. They are currently set to roll at 12:30 p.m.
