Join the Cajun Music Preservation Society on Saturday, January 6, 2024 for their most festive jam of the year!

The local cultural society will host their 9th Annual Twelfth Night Celebration and Jam from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Gina’s At The Legion in Thibodaux, and invite all community members to come kick off the Mardi Gras season in style. “We do this every year as our first jam of the year,” explained Misty Leigh McElroy with the Cajun Music Preservation Society. “It is typically our biggest event we host and it is always a lot of fun for everyone.”

Just like their weekly jams, the Cajun Music Preservation Society’s Twelfth Night Celebration is open to anyone who shares a love for traditional Cajun music. All ages, skill levels, and acoustic instruments (fiddles, accordions, triangles, banjos, etc) are welcome. Participants are also welcome to attend and dance or just enjoy the music.

In keeping with the festive theme of the evening, the Krewe of Tradition will be providing a party bus for the event for the 2nd year in a row. The party bus will ride from the Intracoastal Club in Houma to Gina’s At The Legion, and then back to Houma. If you are interested in riding on the party bus, please RSVP to kreweoftradition@gmail.com by Thursday, January 4, 2024.
