NEW ORLEANS, La. – On Friday, Sept. 17, the Al Copeland Foundation (ACF) and Saks Fifth Avenue New Orleans will host the “Hi-Speed” Fashion Show, a glamorous red carpet event featuring a dazzling runway show, premium food and beverages and a silent auction. The event will play host to beloved New Orleans Saints players Darren Sharper and Roman Harper, with popular B97 DJs Stevie G and TPot serving as event emcees. All proceeds from the event will go toward the Al Copeland Foundation benefiting cancer research.

“Upon the passing of our father we started the Al Copeland Foundation with the goal to find a cure for the very aggressive cancer that took his life,” said Charli Copeland Womac, co-president of the Al Copeland Foundation. “We are excited to partner with the outstanding hospitals and researchers in the New Orleans community as they work to improve treatment and find a cure for this disease.”

Event attendees will enjoy Copeland’s premium cuisine and spirits, along with complimentary gift bags and an eyelash bar from MAC Cosmetics. A silent auction will also give partygoers the opportunity to bid on luxurious items, including a six month membership to the House of Blues Foundation Room, New Orleans Saints signed souvenirs, The Blues Jean Bar denim party and shopping sprees at various New Orleans boutiques. The night will conclude with a stunning runway show featuring apparel from elite fashion designers, where models will sport professional hair and make-up styles from H20 Salon and Spa and NARS Cosmetics.

“Every ticket sold brings us closer to a cure for this aggressive disease and we look forward to joining the community in our father’s honor,” added Alisha Copeland, co-president of the Al Copeland Foundation. “After the success of last year’s ‘Hi-Speed’ Fashion Show, we are thrilled to once again donate 100 percent of money raised to funding cancer research.”

The ‘Hi-Speed’ Fashion Show will take place on at The Metropolitan, located at 310 Andrew Higgins Drive. The Patron Party will be hosted from 6:30-8:30 p.m. with the main event and fashion show occurring from 8:30-11 p.m. Tickets range from $25 to $175 per person.
