Resolution bid draws council fire
February 17, 2011The Terrebonne Parish council, last Wednesday, approved an ordinance to accept the lowest bid for the purchase of $49 million in bonds to help finance the Morganza-to-the-Gulf levee project and called for a public hearing on the matter for Feb. 23. The council also authorized issuing the bonds to build the hurricane and flood protection system.
