East-West connection topic of public meeting

A potential east-west connector corridor from Houma-Thibodaux to the Sunshine Bridge will be the topic of a public meeting Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Napoleonville Middle School.

The meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m.

The connector would tie into the Lafourche Ridge – Assumption, Lafourche and Ascension parishes – in the general vicinity of Louisiana Highway 1 and Louisiana Highway 308.

The corridor would be designed to improve connectivity in general, and would relieve traffic buildup during hurricane evacuations, authorities contend.

Napoleonville Middle School is located at 4847 La. 1.
