Residents of Chauvin or Morgan City who are in the process of repairing or rebuilding their home over the holiday can receive expert advice from FEMA mitigation specialists at their local hardware stores. Beginning today, Dec 20 through Wednesday, Dec. 23, disaster survivors who are repairing their homes following Hurricane Ida can receive professional advice from FEMA mitigation advisors.
FEMA specialists will allow residents to discuss their home damages and provide tips on rebuilding, protecting and reducing your risk of high winds and water damage in future disasters.
In addition, FEMA will also provide information about selecting contractors, flood insurance, roof repair and other topics. Appointments are not needed.
FEMA mitigation specialist will be available in Chauvin from 7 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. at the following location:
