March 5, 2013Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government announced that it will hold a public meeting tomorrow to unveil the master plan for Terrebonne Community Park.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at 6 p.m. and it will be held in the 2nd Floor Council Hearing Room of the Government Tower located at 8026 Main St.
The presentation will be facilitated by the project’s landscape architects at Joseph Furr Designs Studios.
In Oct. 2012, Terrebonne Parish Government hosted a public workshop to get the public’s input regarding the design and also the type of recreation needed throughout the parish.
The comments and suggestions levied during that meeting were factored into the master plan, according to Terrebonne Parish Government.
The Terrebonne Community Park is a major project in the parish’s efforts to creating long-term strategic recreation planning efforts throughout Terrebonne.
Known as the “Field of Dreams,” the project was created in an attempt to improve recreational opportunities throughout the area.
