Fletcher Technical Community College received notification this week from the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission Inc., that it has been granted candidacy for accreditation for the College’s Association of Science in Nursing (ASN) Program.

The NLNAC’s accreditation is the body responsible for the specialized accreditation of nursing education programs.

NLNAC has authority and accountability for carrying out responsibilities inherent in the application of standards and criteria, accreditation processes and the affairs, management, policy-making, and general administration of the NLNAC.

The entity is also nationally recognized as a specialized accrediting agency for both post-secondary and higher degree programs in nursing.

“This is the first step in the accreditation of our ASN program,” Fletcher Vice Chancellor William H. Tulak said. “We are very pleased with achieving the status and thank our faculty and staff for assisting the college in this process.”
