Beautiful weather, live music, shopping and great food are just some of the features of the Bayou Terrebonne Tailgate and Market that will take place in downtown Houma on Saturday, November 6! The family-friendly event invites you to come out and watch Bayou Game Day experience beginning at 9 am, Nicholls State University vs McNeese at noon, followed by LSU vs Alabama at 6 p.m. The music stage will also feature a fantastic line-up of musicians beginning at noon.


The football extravaganza is free to the public with activities for all ages, including a beer garden sponsored by Bud Light and Buquet Distributing, a wing eating contest sponsored by Hooters, a kids’ corner sponsored by Broussard and Dove, a marketplace for arts and crafts hosted by Rushing Media, and food by Terrebonne High School.

“The tailgate will be a family friendly event with activities for kids and adults and just a great day to enjoy our community and some great weather,” says Noah Lirette, President of Hache Grant Association.

Tailgaters will enjoy football games all day, a Bayou College Gameday experience with local celebrity guest pickers. Lirette says not only will the tailgate host a good time but will also support residents affected by Hurricane Ida. “The tailgate is an Ida relief benefit so all of the money raised will go to continuing efforts in the Ida Recovery through the Hache Grant Association.”


Bring your tents and chairs (ice chest not allowed) and set up right on Main Street to enjoy the jumbo screen and football all day!

The Marketplace will be set-up from Lumiere to Fakier (from Roussell Bridge to Barrow Street). Vendors will be selling arts and crafts from 10am until 4pm. Without Southdown this year, vendors were left without a show to sell their holiday goods. Stop by and support shopping local!

Water & Soda = 1 Ticket

Specialty drinks will be sold at the Distillery.

Cornhole group will accept cash for food, proceeds collected will benefit Terrebonne High School Athletics.


Raffle and football pool will provide options to win great prizes!
