Grand Isle Mayor David Camardelle has issued a voluntary evacuation as of 6 p.m. on August 26, 2021. Grand Isle School is also canceled on Friday, August 27, 2021.
A mandatory evacuation is expected to be called tomorrow after a 10:30 a.m. conference call with GOHSEP.
