A Gray man was arrested for the aggravated rape of a small child when he appeared in Terrebonne Parish court Wednesday for his arraignment on another molestation of a juvenile charge, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

Roger Adam Fitch Sr., 52, of 203 Eureka Dr., reported to Division “E” court to be arraigned on a previous molestation of a juvenile charge and two counts of incest. He was arrested on those charges Dec. 7, and has been out of jail on bond, said Capt. Malcolm Wolfe, spokesman for the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office.

When Fitch arrived in court, deputies arrested him on a warrant charging aggravated rape of a child. The age of the child is being withheld because of the nature of the complaint, Wolfe said.

Fitch was booked into the Terrebonne Parish Jail and is being held without bond.
