January 8, 2014The Houma Navigation Canal Bridge at La. Highway 661 (S. Van Avenue) in Houma will close from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday next week.
The closure is needed to allow Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development’s contractors to perform electrical work on the bridge.
Motorists can access Houma’s east side via South Van Avenue to Grand Caillou Road (La. Highway 57) to Tunnel Boulevard (La. Highway 3040) to Barrow Street (La. Highway 182) to La. Highway 315 or traveling South Van Avenue to the Twin Span Bridge (La. Highway 24) to Barrow Street to La. Highway 315.
