A dispute between a man and his ex-girlfriend ended Monday evening with his arrest on aggravated burglary charges, a Houma Police spokesman said.

Lt. Todd Duplantis said officers arrested Greg Paul Fonseca, 22, 121 Mike St., outside a residence in the 100 block of McAllen Street in Houma.

Police were called to the scene after a 47-year-old woman called and said that Fonseca had forced his way into her residence and argued with her daughter, Duplantis said.

According to the mother, Fonseca arrived at the residence around 8:30 p.m.; he had been told several times not to come to the house, the spokesman said.

The woman told police her daughter went outside and told Fonseca to leave several time, but he refused. Duplantis said Fonseca reportedly began yelling about the way the couple’s child and approached the daughter in an aggressive manner.

The woman said her daughter opened the garage door, ran inside the house and close the door, Duplantis said. When she got inside, she found Fonseca in the front room of the residence, he said. Fonseca pushed the woman’s daughter into the wall and held her there until the mother called police, the spokesman said.

When officers arrived, the arrested Fonseca on aggravated burglary charges and transported him to the Terrebonne Parish Council Justice Complex. If convicted, Duplantis said Fonseca could be imprisoned at hard labor up to 30 years.
