Meetings will be held today and tomorrow on Terrebonne government’s updating of parish zoning and other issues.

Residents can offer their input about many matters relating to the Comprehensive Plan, the main planning document for the parish which is updated every several years. The plan covers areas such as education, transportation and land use.

Meetings will be held tonight, Wednesday, at the Bourg Lions Club (109 Texas Gulf Road) and Thursday in the parish council chamber in the Government Tower building in downtown Houma (8026 Main Street). Both meetings begin at 6 p.m. and will end no later than 8 p.m.

The meetings will be conducted by the parish’s planning consultant Providence Engineering & Environmental Group.

In 2003, Terrebonne last updated its Comprehensive Plan, which can be viewed online at the parish government Web site at tpcg.org. Residents can also find an online survey on the site.

The Comprehensive Plan is used to help guide the drafting of ordinances and regulations. Residents can offer input on the plan’s Vision Statement.
