LA 1 Intracoastal closes in Larose

The Louisiana Highway 1 Bridge, also known as the West Larose Bridge, will be closed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily for the next 30 days, state police said.

Motorists are asked to use the new T-Bois Bridge located north of the Intracoastal Waterway to Louisiana Highway 308 southbound.

Northbound traffic south of the Intracoastal Bridge may cross the Cut Off Bridge to La. 308, state police said. Motorists should follow the highway north. Crossing the T-Bois Bridge will allow traffic back onto La. 1.

State police warn oversized vehicles cannot cross any of the pontoon bridges in the area.
