The Lafourche Parish School Board changed the student configuration of Larose Upper and Larose Lower Elementary schools, effective once construction on a new school building at the site of Larose Upper is complete.

Both schools would be configured to teach students from pre-K through fifth grade after the new building is erected. Currently, Larose Lower educates students from pre-K through second grade, and Larose Upper teaches third through fifth grade.

Construction is still in its infancy stage.

Duplantis Design Group recently won the architectural bid, and no schematic plans have been drawn, LPSB Land and Facilities Manager Evan Plaisance said.
