The Louisiana Department of Insurance and Sen. Michael Fesi are hosting a resource center today, November 20, from 9:00 a.m.- 1:30 a.m. at The Event Center located at 200 Moffet Rd. The purpose of the event is to help constituents after Hurricane Ida.

Trained specialists from LDI’s office of Consumer Advocacy will be in attendance, helping constituents understand their insurance policies, assist them with filing complaints through LDI and answer general insurance questions.Coordinators are asking that all participating constituents bring copies of their insurance policies with them to the meetings. Masks are required at all LDI resource centers.

“We’re here for the people of Louisiana, bring your policies and bring your questions. We’re ready to help,” says Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon.

Participants can check the LDI Event Calendar, Facebook, and Twitter accounts for updates on insurance assistance in affected areas.

To receive assistance consumers can call the LDI at 1-800-259-5300 or to file a complaint at www.ldi.gov/complaints
