Libraries announce book sale, closures

The Friends of Terrebonne Parish Public Library will host their annual Choice Book Sale on Saturday, Dec. 5 and Sunday, Dec. 6 at the Main Library at 151 Library Drive.

The sale offers holiday shoppers new, gently used, rare and specialty books.


Rare and specialty books will be priced according to their value, but all other books will be $1.50 per inch on Saturday and $10 per bag full on Sunday.

The sale will go on from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Meanwhile, all branches of the Lafourche Parish Public Library system and its headquarters will be closed on Monday, Dec. 7, for the library system’s annual parish-wide staff meeting. The library will reopen its doors the following day, Tuesday, Dec. 8, for its regularly scheduled hours.
