Bollinger plans skilled job fair

Bollinger Marine Fabrications, a new construction division of Bollinger Shipyards Inc., which is located in Amelia, will conduct a job fair Friday in an effort to recruit skilled craft workers.

The job fair is set to run from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Terrebonne Business and Career Solutions Center at 807 Barrow St. in Houma.

Representatives of Bollinger will be present to take applications and conduct interviews. BMF is currently expanding its workforce by approximately 200 people during the next six months and has an immediate need for ship fitters, pipe fitters, outfitters, structural welders and pipe welders.
