The Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce and Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce are pooling resources to enhance exposure for both organizations.

The Houma Chamber has invited Thibodaux’s members to conduct a joint Business2Business luncheon of Friday at the Holiday Inn in Houma.

The networking event offers an opportunity for participants to share a table, exchange contact information and tell one another about their businesses, according to Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce President Drake Pothier.

“The Houma-Terrebonne and Thibodaux Chambers of Commerce have an excellent working relationship and have had many combined membership events over the years,” Pothier said. “As it relates to April’s Business2Business event the Thibodaux Chamber is considering its own B2B event and wanted to give their members an opportunity to experience it first.”

“Drake and I thought this would be a great opportunity for our members to network together,” Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce President Kathy Benoit said. “We have a long history and great working relationship.”

The Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce was established more than 90 years ago. The chamber now has more than 900 members involved in areas form government advocacy to corporate networking. The organization is recognized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as a 5-Star Accredited Chamber, and is listed among the top 1 percent of chambers in the nation.

The Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce connects businesses by promoting free enterprise, building relationships within the community, and acting as a resource to the younger generation through mentorship. The Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce is also accredited through the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Friday’s Business2Business luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m.
