Houma broker/owner Debra Chauvin and Realtor D’Juan Suggs, of Weichert, Realtors – Real Estate Express, recently completed the Weichert Management Academy at the Morris Plains, N.J., corporate headquarters.

The four-day training covered all aspects of the company’s business philosophy and procedures. The program is required for new members of the Weichert Real Estate Affiliates network.

“The academy provides the tool to give new Weichert franchisees a solid foundation and the confidence to manage their businesses as never before,” said Kirk Miller, vice president of business development. Miller and an all-Realtor management team direct the sessions. “Some of what we cover is not new to established brokers and managers,” he said, “but most of it is quite an eye-opener.”

Chauvin and Suggs participated in a concentrated, accelerated program emphasizing recruiting, training and career development, systems installation and business planning while further defining the company’s support systems and tools.

“These people are already at the top of their field, or they wouldn’t be here,” said Martin J. Reuter, Weichert affiliates president. “It’s our policy, as well as our promise, to show them the time-proven Weichert way.”
