Raceland-based Community Bank is a leader in its class.

Just ask the American Bankers Association (ABA) and the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA). The two groups listed the Tri-parish entity as a top-performing community bank in the nation.

“It’s an honor to be in the company of so many high performing banks in the nation,” said Community Bank’s President Mike Riche’. “Our focus on personal attention and competitive banking services is well-known with customers, employees and the community. In the end, this commitment to customers translates into high performance.”

In 2006, Community Bank’s financial performance earned the bank a spot on the ABA Banking Journal’s list of the top 50 banks with assets between $100 million and $3 billion. The group included 3,094 banks, placing Community Bank in the top 1.6 percent of its peers nationwide.

ICBA listed Community Bank 11th among banks with $250-$500 million in assets. The Raceland company was the only local bank to make the national list of top performing community banks.

“I would like to thank Community Bank’s staff and our Board of Directors for their dedication to the bank and our customers,” Riché said. “Their hard work continues to build a vibrant bank to serve our growing community.”

Community Bank is locally owned and operated, with locations in Larose, Thibodaux, Lockport, Golden Meadow and Houma. It also has sites outside the Tri-parishes, in Napoleonville and Laplace.

The bank offers loans, commercial services, checking and savings accounts, certificates of deposit, as well as on-line banking. For more information, visit www.CBexpress.com.
