Dave Martin to speak at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago

Lafourche Parish native Dave Martin will be among the featured speakers and panelists at an upcoming conference sponsored and hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.


The conference is titled “Competitive Forces Shaping the Payments Environment: What’s Next?” Martin is slated to speak specifically to the evolving roles of retailers in the financial services industry.†


Martin is the executive vice president of NCBS, a leading retail banking consulting firm. NCBS is a wholly owned subsidiary of SunTrust Bank.

Martin has worked with over 200 banks in 46 states and Canada over the past decade.†He also writes a monthly column for American Banker entitled “Martin on Retailing,” as well as a monthly column for Bankstocks.com entitled “The Bank Blitz Memo.”

A 1983 graduate of South Lafourche High School, Martin received his bachelor’s degree from Nicholls State University in 1987 and his MBA from Nicholls in 1996.†He currently resides in Sugar Land, Texas, with his wife Cindy and sons Jessy and Abraham.
