Chris Dohmann has joined MidSouth Bank’s Morgan City site as assistant vice president/commercial loan officer.


In his new role, Dohmann is responsible for business development and expanding the bank’s loan and deposit base throughout its south Louisiana market. He works directly with businesses of all sizes to develop customized loan packages that meet their financial needs.

An Opelousas native, Dohmann has more than 25 years of banking experience in the New Orleans and Lafayette markets. He previously worked as a finance and insurance manager for AJ Dohmann Chrysler in Morgan City.


Dohmann majored in marketing at USL (now UL Lafayette) and graduated from the LSU School of Banking and the Louisiana School of Supervisory Training. He has completed numerous American Institute of Banking programs.

Dohmann is a member of the Rotary Club of Morgan City, having previously served as assistant district governor. He is a past president of the Rotary Club of St. Bernard, and is a member of the St. Mary Parish Chamber of Commerce, the American Petroleum Institute and the St. Mary Industrial Group.

In its south Louisiana market, MidSouth Bank also has locations in Houma, Thibodaux and Larose.
