Immigrant hires topic of SCIA workshop

The South Central Industrial Association will host a workshop Nov. 7 titled “Legally Employing the Foreign National: A Practical Approach to Employment-Based Immigration.”

The workshop will be held from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Edison Chouest Offshore, 16201 East Main St., Galliano.

Brandon Davis, of Phelps Dunbar LLC law firm, will conduct the workshop. Participants will learn how to recruit foreign labor to grow their business and how to enforce the regulations properly the first time to avoid delays from the government.
