Resolution bid draws council fire
February 17, 2011The Louisiana Workforce Commission will host an oil spill symposium and job fair at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center on Tuesday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
According to LWC Business Services Representative Cheri Blanchard, the event is designed to provide information and resources to businesses and workers impacted by the BP Deepwater Horizon explosion and oil spill that took place on April 20, 2010.
Participation has no cost, but businesses and agencies wanting to reserve booth space must make reservations no later than Monday. Detailed information on this event can be secured through the Terrebonne Business Solutions Center at (985) 858-2985. Reservations may be completed by e-mail at cblanchard1@lwc.la.gov. Registration and setup will begin Tuesday at 8 a.m.
