July 11, 2007The Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations is inviting all businesses and nonprofit organizations to attend continuity of operations planning training sessions for Terrebonne, Lafourche, Assumption, St. James, St. John and St. Charles parishes.
The sessions are designed to help businesses and nonprofit organizations plan to be able to do such things as communicate effectively in an emergency, protect necessary documents and identify alternate sites for safe operation.
Continuity of Operations Planning is a guide developed by LANO to help non-profits and businesses prepare for disasters, quickly and easily, to continue operations.
The training sessions will be as follows:
• July 18, at the DOTD conference room, 5058 West Main St., Houma, from 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m.
• July 19, at the Louisiana Technical College, 181 Regala Park Road, Reserve, from 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m.
Attendees should RSVP by phone or e-mail no later than 4 p.m. on July 16.
