LED exec to address Lafourche chamber

David Bennett, business development officer for the Louisiana Economic Development (LED), is slated to address the Lafourche Chamber of Commerce July 27 at the Larose Civic Center.

The LED offers small businesses help in accessing state procurement contracts. Programs include professional training for business owners, as well as education and referral services. Most recently, LED added online educational opportunities and a technical assistance initiative designed to accelerate the growth of second-stage entrepreneurs.

“I encourage our chamber membership to attend July’s Bayou Briefing to learn about the programs LED offers to help businesses achieve the level of success they desire,” chamber chairman Paula Rome said in a release.

Next Wednesday’s session is set for noon. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. Reservations are required.

The cost of chamber members is $25.
