Learn about the latest business issues and earn continuing education credit hours at the Nicholls State University College of Business Administration’s first Bayou Region Business Institute Monday, Sept. 22, and Tuesday, Sept. 23.

The Bayou Region Business Institute was launched to provide local attorneys, certified public accountants, insurance agents, financial planning professionals, controllers and business leaders with an opportunity to learn more about the topics that affect their daily work from qualified speakers.

Speakers include Nicholls alumni such as Charlie Comeaux, chief financial officer at Edison Chouest Offshore, and Bill Riviere, partner at the law offices of Phelps Dunbar LLC.

Participants can register for one or both days of the institute. Registration costs $250 for a single day or $450 for both days. Breakfast and lunch are provided.

Attorneys can earn up to 13 Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit hours for participating; Certified Professional Accountants can earn up to 16 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits.

To register for the Bayou Region Business Institute, contact Gina Lagrange at 985-448-4176 or gina.lagrange@nicholls.edu. For more information, visit the Nicholls College of Business Administration website at nicholls.edu/business.
